"And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." Joshua 24:15
"For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told. The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath. So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom." Psalms 90:9-12
There is so much turmoil and events on the television in our lives and we should be concerned with our future. Recent events (weather, terrorism, wars, politics, etc.) have us afraid and very concerned-what a time in history. All of history is His story. Gods' desire to have a relationship with man despite man's rebellion against Him. We are here on the earth briefly to praise and love God.
God's story of love and redemption will continue through the end of time. All of the events going on in the world are being used by God to bring man to himself. He wants each of us to be able to enter Heaven and live with Him and Jesus forever. Lord teach us to number our days.
God is our permanent dwelling place. God is our provider, protector, EVERYTHING!! No matter how temporary things are, God is our everything. He is the only permanent thing in our lives. God is in the blessing business. He is God and beside Him there is no other.
Man falls into four categories:
1- Man is but dust. 2- Fallen man is like a blade of grass. 3- Fallen man is but a whisper 4- Man's life is limited to a few days.
No one knows the day or the hour of when you will be required to leave this earth. You ought to live each day for God! It's a good thing to know that your life belongs to Jesus. Get your house in order now while you still have the chance. Don't wait for tomorrow is not promised. We need to be sure that we stand on the solid rock of Jesus. Are you ready? Are you prepared? Do you want to live with Jesus?
Lord, teach me to keep our eyes on You and to be accountable and responsible for me.Teach me to live according to the laws and principles of God. Teach us to live according to His will. For on judgement day, each and every one of us will have to stand in line to receive our judgement~ heaven or hell for eternity. Which do you want for yourself?
